About the Phase 2 Electrical Project
Thanks to a generous donation from the MoneyWise Wealth Management Firm in 2023, we were able to restore basic power to the Okihi property after nearly all electrical infrastructure had been lost to vandalism and theft. That initial gift allowed us to install a 400-amp panel, power a few outlets, and add safety lighting along our roads and parking areas.
Now, we're ready to take the next critical step: extending power to the remaining buildings on site—our restrooms and the historic Boat House—as well as to key outdoor classroom areas. This includes installing HVAC in the Boat House so students have a cool, safe place to retreat during hot summer camps.
The Phase 2 Electrical Project will power these essential upgrades and make sure Okihi is ready for its next season of outdoor education. The residents of Palm Avenue are playing a key role in making this happen—and once completed, your neighborhood will be honored with a commemorative plaque on-site, celebrating your impact for generations to come.
